Well for lunch today we went to one of Tammy’s favorites.
They bring out chips, salsa and cheese sauce for a starter. We also asked for flour tortillas. The tortillas were nice. They were soft, fluffy and tasty. The chips could have used a bit of salt however they were thick enough to hold the salsa and did not break under the weight of the salsa or cheese sauce. The salsa was nice and spicy, the heat was pronounced throughout the salsa and it wasn’t just heated by the occasional bite of jalapeno every once in awhile. This place knows how to make a good salsa. Tammy made her favorite tortilla filled with butter, and cheese sauce thing.
Tammy really likes the burritos. She gets them with shredded beef, and let me tell you they do not skimp either. The burritos are big, and most of it is beef. There is a tiny layer of beans inside as well, but that is it. No lettuce, no tomatoes, just beef and beans. Tammy said that the beef is nice and tender and flavorful and the burrito gave her a mouth orgasm right there.
This place is a meat eater’s paradise. It took me a long time to browse the menu for something for myself. All of the sauces was either a cheese or a meat sauce. The enchiladas was a ground beef chili sauce, the chimichangas were a cheese or sour cream sauce. I ended up getting the taco salad no meat or cheese.
The Taco salad was pretty good. It had a flat fried flour tortilla, refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and The beans were cold, it threw me off for a moment, but it is a salad so it made sense. It was nice and crispy. I added some salsa on top to give it some heat since the beans themselves didn’t have much flavor. The tortilla was pretty good though. It was fried nicely, had good flavor, and was nice and crispy, thick and tender.
